The Ladies of the Saint Rita in the Desert Council are looking forward to the 113th Arizona Knights of Columbus State Convention in May 2020 at the El Conquistador Resort Tucson, Arizona
The Ladies Luncheon program will be on Saturday beginning at 11:30 AM in the Coronado Ballroom. Tickets are required.
There are two charities being showcased this year that focus on aiding our vulnerable youth. We will have guest speakers from both groups available to discuss their impact and their important outreach work.
Youth On Their Own (YOTO) www.yoto.org
YOTO supports the high school graduation and continued success of homeless and unaccompanied youth by providing financial assistance, basic human needs and guidance. The youth served range from ages 11-21 in grades 6-12 and are not living with or supported by their biological parents. Since it was founded in 1986, YOTO has affected the lives of over 20,000 youth in Pima County.
Beads of Courage, Inc www.beadsofcourage.org
BOC has a unique Arts-in-Medicine supportive care program for children and teens coping with serious illness, their families and the health care providers who care for them. Founded in Tucson, the program is employed in more than 300 hospitals worldwide. Through the program children tell their story using colorful beads that serve as meaningful symbols honoring their courage displayed along their unique treatment path.
